this is for the first time am posting an entry for thursday challenge

the pic was taken on my visit to the 16th century bandel church in the district of hooghly, west bengal on 31st october, 2009

it’s a beautiful place beside river hooghly and has a fishermen’s colony nearby with some portuguese and mughal monuments on the other bank of the river

the freshly painted boats, the rivulets, the open grassland, the tiny shops, the narrow roads leading to the ghats add a totally unique charm to this quaint little place
